There is something incredible when you start a new adventure with dedicating it to God through thanks and prayer. As the team gathered to leave for the airport, the parents and church staff prayed over our team and the trip. After goodbyes were said, we began our adventure with a small road trip to Chicago to catch our first flight.
Airports and trips can be a very neat experience, especially when you find yourself in unique situations. If you know me, you know that I love people and seem to get myself into a lot of unique situations with meeting new people. On our flight to Dubai, I had gone to speak with one of the flight attendants. A quick trip to ask a question turned into two hours of hanging out with the crew members in the back cabin laughing and talking about our lives and different adventures. One of the ladies and I were talking about how we both want to make a difference in others lives, and not to just live for ourselves. There’s just something about it when you are able to personally connect with someone who can have a completely different life and background. When traveling, it makes doors seem so open to connect with others and have relational conversations with all types of people in the most interesting settings.
